Job Description

–Works to assure complete and on-time delivery to all Rosenboom customers through the direct supervision of all Shipping, Receiving, and Warehouse employees.

–Coordinates the work activities of employees engaged in any aspect of the shipping, receiving, and warehouse departments.

–Studies production and shipping schedules to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet customer deadlines.

–Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.

–Coordinates and prioritizes work load for the material handlers to ensure timely moves and transactions

–Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.

–Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of direct reports.

–Uses appropriate computer manufacturing and customer software to track and issue information regarding the location, quantity and status of materials and components.

–Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine adequacy of inventory.

–Recommends or initiates plans to motivate department employees to achieve work goals

–Assumes responsibility for the documentation of the additions or revisions to department process and procedure documents

–Inspects loading operations to ensure safety and compliance with shipping specifications

–Interprets and communicates company policies to employees and enforces safety regulations

–Ensures material handling equipment is not defective or unsafe and notifies maintenance personnel with any concerns.

–Advises Human Resources in matters specific to the maintenance of the personnel and/or medical records of employees whose responsibilities require a CDL

–May train employees on policies and procedures.

–May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by manager.

–Is a productive member of his/her workgroup and adheres to all Rosenboom policies, including safety requirements/procedures and maintaining a clean organized work area, in order to ensure a safe working environment for all Rosenboom employees
